Hatale Udhyog Pvt. Ltd. was established in 2002 with an incentive to mobilize the local women in business ventures. The organization is a sister concern of Nepali Paper Products Private Limited. Nepali Paper Products Pvt. Ltd. is known as the leading manufacturer and exporter of quality Nepali handmade paper and paper products, with different awards in the areas of marketing and quality excellence, and with business operations in over 10 countries to date. Hatale Udhyog Pvt. Ltd. manufactures and exports felt products such as handbags, shoes, muffler, hat and more accessories in foreign market. We have been exporting our products to European and US markets.

The main objective of our company is to provide the employment opportunity to the women of rural and far distant area of Nepal. So, most of workers of our company comprises a group of women who really contribute in the making of quality felt items. The products manufactured are also women oriented. About Felt

Felt is truly a remarkable product. It owes its uniqueness to the ability of sheep wool to "felt." The wool fiber has a resilient core encased in a rigid jacket covered with microscopic barbs, or scales. With heat, moisture and pounding, the fibers relax, curl and interlock in all directions. With increased hammering and pounding, the fibers are compressed or hardened into an unbelievable tight, dense mass. The resulting product is so firm and compact that it can be turned on a lathe, routed, ground, sanded, skived, and drilled.

Woolen felt bags, purses, hair accessories and other products are completely made by hands from sheep’s wool found in high mountains in the Northern parts of the Himalayan Kingdom of Nepal. The wools from the sheep, locally known as Bheda, are used for textiles, while the sheep for meat locally. Normally, the wool locally available and imported from Tibet, are washed thoroughly in cold water to remove greasy materials from wool and then dried in the sun. These cleaned or scoured wools will be dyed before producing felt products.
